Installation

Turn off power to HVAC system at circuit breaker. Remove old thermostat.

  1. Label wires: Note wire labels (R, C, Y, G, W, O/B, etc.) from old thermostat.
  2. Mount subbase: Secure new subbase to wall using provided screws.
  3. Connect wires: Insert labeled wires into corresponding terminals on subbase.
  4. Attach thermostat: Align and snap thermostat onto subbase.
  5. Install batteries: Insert 2 AA alkaline batteries.
  6. Restore power: Turn circuit breaker back on.

First-Time Setup

After power restoration, thermostat will initialize. Follow prompts.

  1. Set language: Default is ENGLISH.

  2. Match wire labels to terminals on subbase.
  3. For heat pump systems: Connect O/B wire per system configuration (O for cooling, B for heating).
  4. For multi-stage systems: Connect Y2 (2nd stage cool) and/or W2 (2nd stage heat).

Tip: Refer to HVAC system manual for correct terminal designations.

Programming Schedules

Supports energy-saving schedules with up to 4 periods per day.

  1. Press PROGRAM button.
  2. Select day(s): All, Weekdays, Weekends, or individual days.
  3. Set periods: Adjust Wake, Leave, Return, Sleep times and temperatures.
  4. Copy schedule: Copy settings to other days.
  5. Exit: Press MENU/SELECT to save and exit.
  6. Override: Press HOLD for temporary override; press again to resume schedule.
  7. Vacation mode: Set extended hold period via menu.

WARNING! Do not set extreme temperatures that could damage system or pipes.

Advanced Features

Filter Change Reminder: Set interval (30-365 days) in menu; icon appears when due. Keypad Lock: Enable in menu to prevent changes. Temperature Calibration: Adjust displayed temperature offset if needed. System Test: Run diagnostic to verify heating, cooling, and fan operation.

Care & Cleaning
